I was born and raised in Waterford, a small Norfolk County village close to the Lake Erie beach town known as Port Dover, Ontario. The town with a population of roughly 3 000 people is not known for its rapidly developing tech industry, but rather its flourishing tobacco, cornstalks and breweries. Nearing the end of highschool I decided to introduce myself to Computer Science through online highschool Java courses, and almost immediately fell in love - after I figured out what the he** System.out.println() was and how it was possibly going to show me "Hello World".

Honours Bachelor of Computer Science (Mobile Computing) • December 2019 • 3.6 GPA
The 8 semesters of this program consist of core Computer Science courses, a Mobile Applications stream and a Wireless Network stream. I was taught with a good balance of practical and thoretical courses, making me well-rounded and ready to continue into my career path.
Examples of learned concepts:
Insight Technologies - A Mantis Group Company • April 2019 - August 2019

The skills below have been developed through an array of hands-on school applications, previous work experience or personal projects. See some examples below.
A fire safety solution that promotes safe, fun, realistic and accurate emergency fire training to the general public. The augmented reality simulation is built on the Microsoft HoloLens and uses Microsoft Azure’s cognitive services to help the user perform the required tasks during their session. The system integrates an Android tablet and phone application, the HoloLens, and an authentic decommissioned fire extinguisher equipped with buttons to administer the most accurate and realistic evacuation experience possible. The current version of the system was designed and developed as part of the final Capstone Project of my degree. This will serve as a prototype while I continue development for future release.

IT Best Capstone Award for Potential World Impact
Created as a mockup fire pledge service. Technologies used include Angular 4, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and Firebase. Video first demonstrates the application from the general public's perspective (taking the pledge that they have completed all their fire safety tasks). The demo then logs in using generic employee credentials and is able to view all of the pledges that have been taken by community members. Pledges are able to be filtered by level of completeness.
Web application to make restaurant reservations. Technologies used include: C#, ASP.NET MVC5, Entity Framework and SQL Server.
ICON is a family of web applications that allow patients to report their own or their dependant's immunization records to public health. The linked site is the public-facing side of the system which is used by individuals to submit their records. During my 2018 co-op with IDEAWORKS most of my duties were with ICON HCP which is the internal-facing part of the system, allowing the public health unit nurses to report patient immunizations.
Small C# MVC application which lets the user accept or decline a party invitation. Application uses a WCF service to interact with the database.
